Work
I'm a senior frontend developer with about 8 years of professional experience. I build complex web apps; recursive data structures, heavy state management, data visualization, and I build to scale and perform well.
The CV is the compact version. This page is the map around it.
What I tend to work on
My main stack is React/Next.js and TypeScript, and I also work with Svelte, SvelteKit, and Astro. I've spent the last couple of years doing more architecture work: shared NPM packages, design tokens, code generators, app bootstrapping, layout systems, and the practical work of making frontend architecture hold together.
My initial interest in programming came from trying to build games and simulations in Unity. That triggered me to pursue a career as a developer, and might explain why I'm drawn to the complex end of frontend: state machines, data-driven rendering, decoupled systems, performance constraints. Similar thinking, different rendering target.
The projects I enjoy most are the ones where the UI has to handle messy reality: deeply nested operational data, lab reports rendered in draggable windows, and public-service forms with conditional logic. I like working with graphs, heavy data sets, and unusual user interactions.
My main expertise is web frontend. I also work comfortably from design through to a practical UI, and can build the supporting backend pieces when a project needs them: a working database, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing operations.
